I knew that would come up!! I also had read that & thought of "resurrecting" that discussion. But u did that!

Making predictions in this game of cricket is very difficult. I am a die-hard India fan, so i do always say India will win. But deep within, i know that anything can happen on any day.
So, i never forget to put "Subject to", or "Without prejudice to" or "Notwithstanding" like clauses to my claims.

But with SA going out, i think a major threat to us or for that matter, even Pakistan, has been eliminated. Just for case - if SA had come up in Finals, they would have surely been a tougher opposition for India/Pak to beat, when u compare the quality of SA & NZ.
Atleast our team, will be more comfortable playing NZ/SL/Eng in the Finals, rather than SA. In the recent past, India has been the Chief Tormentor of these 3 teams.

No actually the pic of Ponting appears to be the "Mirrored image" of the original one from the QF match, that was already doing rounds.

These days theres no uniformity in the sleeves the players prefer - few wear half sleeved, few wear full-sleeved.

My vote goes to another upset - England will win this one 🙂

I dont think English can upset Lankans, that too in Sri Lanka.The trio of M&M&M will be tough to handle.But as always, there are IFs & BUTs......cant say with full guarantee, but still i dont back English to stage any sort of Upset.

You cant really say in knock out games. Srilanka is favourite but depends on how well England bowls.

Sri Lanka will have the upper hand, but as piyush85 stated- chasing won't be easy.So, if England bats first, there is a chance of upset !

Now for semi finals, If India manages to score 300+ runs, they are surely going to win this one.Pakistan hasn't done well while chasing big target.Mostly they have bowled out oppositions early, credit to their pace attack.But I am expecting Sachin's 2003 WC knock against Pak, and most probably an Indian victory !

It was Astonishing, no-one in the world would have predicted NZ to reach the semis, before the WC began (and that too by thrashing S.A)Once again, S.A's middle order collapsed, and . . They are out of WC, awesome !

How can they choke every time is out of this world.

They are true professionals who maintain consistency in choking....

amish....It wont depend on how well England bowls. It will all depend on how well England handle M&M&M......esp Murli & Mendis. If they handle them properly, they will put respectable total (or chase it down).

have not checked out HT today. kallis does a column in it and he has already stated a couple of times that SA are not chokers. 😀

Pakistan's main strength till now is Afridi, Hafeez, Ajmal in bowling. They just choke up runs & create panic amongst batsmen to take wickets.But none of these can trouble us much. I am not saying that they should be taken lightly, but no need to be scared of them either. We have played these guys in Asia Cup as well, so no one's "Completely new" like Mendis was in 2008.....2 things stay away - Complacency & Pressure of SUCH A HUGE EVENT - and the game is ours!! Talent-wise we are a much better team than Pak.
