How secure is netconnect broadband plus for accessing my bank accounts online ? I understand that all those sites have SSL i.e. http(s) but I am wary about wireless connections ?

I use Reliance Netconnect Broadband + and feel its not fair to blame all security threats to connectivity itself. If you have a reputed Anti-virus/Internet security which is duly updated and use Google/open DNS this way you can havemost secured wireless broadband.I use internet to access some very mission critical backend servers, credit card transactions etc and I am happy with the security policy I've developed in past few years which works fine for me.Most people get victim of internet based scams when they either1). use a virus infected system to access banking sites2). reply to people who pretend to be the authority to give away billions of $$ to you.3). keep passwords which is not secure and easy to guess.4). never do scheduled scanning and cleaning of system.5). store their passwords in plan text in comp. itself6). use cracked softwares which itself has backdoor trojan to steal your sensitive dataah. i can write a few more pages, but i need to attend something else, but if you follow above steps you should be less vulnerable to threats.

If you are too paranoid about your online transactions, use virtual keyboard while entering your passwords and stuff.Don't store confidential information on your PC. And yeah needless to say, follow the above steps 😀

Unless some govt. spies are after you .. you do not need to worry about your net connectionrest of the precautions ghpk has already mentioned(and yes, you can write a book on them)And, if the govt. wants to spy on you, they can do it from the ISP itself..(or the bank, since its an Indian bank)
