and deaf people?

how accessible is their site to disabled people? someone should ask them.

freaking idiots. whenever i land on icici payment gateway across any web service. i sigh.

I don't think ICICI bothers spending any money on accessibility or usability. I wish they'd take the time to see how good banks around the world run their websites.

And while we're ranting about ICICI, can I say that their Android app looks like it was made in the 90s? And why don't they have a mobile version of ICICIBank.com?

also. i think icici is one site that has not changed in a decade now. it still has the same old shitty look that it had when i first logged into it many years ago!

icici bank would not let me login in chrome any more.

as soon as i enter the otp, i get a session expired message.

strangely, it does not even ask for otp if i try to login using internet explorer.

have not tried using firefox.

----------

by the way they have fixed their credit card form. it now has dropdowns for year and month. so some good news!

I guess Chrome had been discarded by every bank .

Also 2 days back when I was purchasing policy online on Aegon Religare website, chrome stopped responding and the agent on call suggested me to try again on IE or FF. And it worked perfectly there. I am still puzzled what's happening to chrome now a days.

icici internet banking site is using Flash cookies to check if a browser is already OTP validated. As chrome has inbuilt flash, it doesn't read flash cookies set via IE flash plugin. Thats the reason Chrome asks for OTP.

coming to session expired errors, this seems to be because of Chrome prefetching the pages, try unchecking "Predict network actions to improve page load performance" option

ooh. i have click to play enabled. maybe that is causing the problems?

----------

right. i had flash disabled on their online banking site. so basically, you now need flash to login to icici online banking? that is absurd.

good , you catched the culprit. i had flashblock in chrome, had to whitelist icici site just for this crazy OTP . i noticed that we can easily work around OTP, by copying the flash cookies from one pc to another. so OTP is not completely fool proof. On Vista/Windows 7 flash cookies are stored in the following directory:C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjectsOn Windows XP flash cookies are stored in:C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects

lol. our banks believe in deceptive security practices i guess. 😕(you do not need flashblock in chrome as it already has click to play for all plugins. might want to save some RAM there 😀 )

Offtopic. We were suddenly told that our website needs to support IE8, 7, Chrome, Firefox and safari as well. Suddenly I have almost stopped working on the completed part and just fixing the UI issues. Can understand the pain when the website does not support some browsers. Anyways Internet explorer is the biggest culprit but still.

at least safari and chrome are almost one and the same thing. firefox is also likely to work very similar in nature to chrome. internet explorer 9 is probably fine. anything lower would probably be a headache.
