Hi folks,I had called Airtel DTH customer service and placed for Airtel HD DTH service from them, and for 1-year they quoted Rs.6265, and I agreed and paid them Cash with receipt# (as I did NOT have any credit card, I had to pay upfront cash to get their so-called DTH service). When I placed the call, I did specifically ask them - whether they'll refund my money if it does NOT work, and Airtel rep told me that, they'll fully refund my money if their doesn't work. The rep told me that, that phone call is being recorded!!!When their technician arrived on last Friday 11th Feb in Bangalore home, the HD receiver could NOT provide clear picture on my imported TV, the picture was flickering/jumping each second!!!!Technician tried calling tech-support and finally could NOT fix the problem, and I had asked them to remove everything, as its not working. Technician took back everything and I had no DTH whatsoever from Airtel then. I did NOT sign any agreement or received any receipt from Airtel technician for accepting their DTH services!!!!Then I got SMS from Airtel with confirmation receipt for disconnect!!! and also on Saturday morning another Airtel rep called me and told me that by Sunday afternoon, they'll refund my full money. But, Saturday afternoon, some other Airtel rep called me, and told me that, they'll NOT refund any money since its already existing customer!!!!!I told that rep to get his facts right, I was never their customer to begin with, I voluntarily signed up to buy their service WITH the condition that, if it doesn't work then they refund it fully. Yesterday again on Sunday, another rep called me with same nonsense that - they cannot refund my money - how atrocisious, how they could refuse to refund my money when I'm not even their customer, I never used their service to begin with. I called their customer service yesterday evening and explained to one supervisor about my plight, she says, they'll look into it, but I'm not sure - how Airtel would get rich with my hard-earned money of Rs.6265 and get profitable in their company earnings, they are big-time cheaters!!!!I caution all those who are interested to buy Airtel DTH, stop, DO NOT BUY it from them;Few things to note;1) Never place any order with Airtel HD DTH if you have any imported TVs to use in India.2) Always insist on Cash-on-Demand so that your money is safe, otherwise, Airtel is gonna cheat you of your money3) Always insist on recording your conversations with their reps, otherwise, they might turn their stories!!!4) Stay away from Airtel DTH altogetherNow I'll wait for one more day, before I start talking to legal court to get my hard-earned money back and plan to sue them for the emotional distress, monetary loss etc. Please advice any lawyer information in Bangalore, so that I can then be ready to take Airtel in their nonsense, rude behaviour and treating customers like 'dumb'.ThanksSRKumar

1) were you using HDMI connection??2),3) Should do with every company

Airtel presence listening ?

It just shows that they are aware that is why they have started their personal section but in real, they are making their company's reputation down. They ask for complains from IBF members then members post in reply the problem is still not solved.

Send a mail on there customer care email ID. Most of your work is solved by mail, as the person accessing your mail is sitting in corporate office and the decision is taken on spot as they can discuss with there immeidiate bosses at the same time. Calling them will always be a bitter experience in these cases. You should restrict calling only for technical difficulties. I am saying with my experience.PS:- Mail them and wait for a day to receive a reply.

@ SRkumar - If you hv not signed anything, its hard them to prove u r even their customer. Give a notice through e-mail to them saying, " you failed to give me connection intime, hence please refund the money within one week, after that 25% interest will be chanrged. Please treat it as a legal notice for future justification." Keep this e-mail, coz airtel too knows the value of this written bomb from u, they will run with money to u otherwise it will help u for legal purpose.

Airtel presence listening ?
The last post from Airtel Presence on this forum was on 24th January - almost 22 days ago... and in another thread in this section, some of us IBF members have declared Airtel Presence as dead , just waiting for official confirmation.

Thanks for the advice, I found some email-id; mailto:digitalTV@airtel.in I'm going to try this rout to see what transpires next, but I'm also ready to call upon the Newspaper/TV media and legal help, as necessary.
