Apparently Firefox (or Mozilla or whatever their profit making organization is) are buying out all the Internet Explorer 7 related domain names they can to spite MS and turn people looking for info on IE7 towards Firefox.

Very Pathetic on either their part or on the part of whichever FF fanboi . They stoop so low.

Whats wrong in this atleast they are free 🙂 Will ask you? Next time when you have to buy microsoft win license because ie7 don't work on pirated version. LOL

Never understood the fanatics with FF. All this Open source zealotry is so 2000 from the dot bomb days.Consider Opera, no hoopla, just plain works.Free as well.
 
that's the whole point. u should not have to do viral marketing like this if you know you have the product to beat the hell out of opposition. opera has that edge. they just rock at making a great product. kinda like Nintendo. things just work. there is little hype.
 
Yeah, it's quite lame, and I wonder if it has had any effect in terms of introducing novice users to the world on non-IE browsers.... I would guess not much of an effect since most people who use IE use it because it's already there on their system, and don't go along browsing the internet to download it.So cheap and not really effective would be my take on it. And also my guess is that Mozilla isn't behind it but rather some fanboy.
 

I think all recent browsers (IE7, FF, Opera) are quite comparable in terms of features for a normal PC user. IMO, Opera is slick and easy to use and better then others in this area. As a developer you need tools like DOM inspector and header/cookie sniffers and FF wins there.

firefox out of the box is practically as useful as internet explorer.
 
Can't agree.........Mozilla with extension becomes the best .....but it is always ahead IE ....even without extension
 
Which extensions ? everyone has their favorites right. Just the choice is good enough.Opera calls them "widgets" in 9, when it becomes more stable i'll check it out.
