Recharging prepaid Airtel using mchek

Took a while but has finally worked for me.

The problems?

They do not seem to link to credit card verification page from their home page.

The link is: http://www.mchek.com/vbvbanner/

And if you notice, the link is http and not https which is a major surprise.

Their website lists the packages available. 333 and 444 are full talk time. which is pretty cool.

recharged for 444 and it was added to my account pretty much instantaneousness. pretty cool shit. 🙂
 
Ya, mChek works. Even I have used it in the past.
 
great. OTP seems to have messed up the process.

i generated the OTP. kept it with me.

tried recharging. got a request for the OTP. it gave me just 2 minutes to SMS the OTP to 543219.

i did that. payment still did not process. seeing a lot of messages on the web related to how mchek no longer works with airtel recharges.

any clues?

never mind. used freecharge. worked. 10 bucks extra. would try to use at least one coupon this time to make it worth it.

this is a problem because i have to use mchek to recharge the DG Toll Tag. if mchek continues to fail with OTP verification, it would become very painful process. 🙁
 
called up standard chartered customer support. 5 bucks wasted (no toll free number!).

they said that the cvv number was wrongly entered.

i currently have two cards with me for the same account. my old card is expiring this month and the bank has sent me a new card. both are technically valid for the month of april 2011.

stanchart customer care guy told me that there is nothing wrong with my account. it should work just fine with mchek. i guess i would give it a try once again with the cvv number of the older card. 😕

another update from mchek...

Since the CVV number of the credit card got changed, you need to update the credit card details as mentioned below.

would try this and update here.
