hey guys, Nivyah Broadband has launched their new website today. URL remains the same, its Nivyah. It looks much better than the earlier one. We can now check availability of their services in our areas from the website itself. good effort!

Are you connected with Nivyah in anyway? If so some here may welcome you as people have complained a lot here about Nivyah.
If not then it is strange that you just join the forum this month and begin by advertising Nivyah.

hi, dunno about Leo but i would like to share that I've recently joined Nivyah as a consultant. Been reading some of the stuff being written here and completely agree with Daddycool. There have been a lot of consumers facing issues with Nivyah and i would love to take on all queries you guys have.

Hi Sridhar. Welcome to IBF.OK guys who were having problems with Nivyah, here's your chance if you are still subscribers.Keep this objective and give him a chance.I am not a Nivyah subscriber but could become one in future if I see good reports emerging.Q1. What exactly is meant by the term "upto" used in the plans in the column Transfer Rate?

Hi Daddycool,The word upto refers to the contention ratio. Generally, all subscribers are on a shared broadband line... so if there are very few users online at the same time in a particular area, naturally, your speed will be higher.

What is the max contention ratio for the multiuser and single user plans?Am I to understand that if my plan speed is upto 1 mbps, then if 2 users in my area (say building) are using it I will get 512 kbps and if 4 are using it I will get 256 kbps? That sounds like a pretty poor deal to me.
