Today I explored Nehru Place at Delhi for 3G USB Data Card. Micromax 310(with max speed of 3.2mbps) was available at most shops with the price tag of around 2300. But I was looking for Huwai one churning out 7.2mbps. After lot of search I found one but there was no model number written on it. On the pack, speed mentioned was upto 7.2mbps. On the modem, what could I see from transparent pack, there was T MOBILE written on it. He was ready to give it for Rs 2300, but I thought of exploring more option. In another shop I found a robust built BEETEL 3G Card(7.2mbps) from Airtel Bharti(Not Locked to any operator) with a price tag of Rs 2600.Now I would sought from existing users(BSNL/MTNL) if they can advise on these or suggest me some other good options.

what was the speed mentioned for beetel 3g card 3.2 or 7.2 mbps?

Dont go for buying the data card blindly...Check the specs. All operators are providing higher speeds, like 7.2Mbps, 14.4Mbps and 21.6Mbps. So 3.6Mbps cards are not worth at present and for future. And HSUPA is very important for faster uploads. It should be atleast 2Mbps. Check for the specs of atleast HSDPA 7.2Mbps, HSUPA 2Mbps. Most T-Mobile cards are of Huawei make.
I m using a 21.6Mbps HSPA+ data card with HSUPA 5.76Mbps. Purchased for Rs.2600 with 1 year warranty. Its Huawei 1831(T-mobile Rocket). Working fine with bsnl 3G.
I recommend these models for you: Huawei E1750, Huawei E1762, ZTE MF110, (for 7.2mbps HSDPA, 5.76mbps HSUPA)
Huawei UMG1831, Huawei E182E(for 21.6Mbps HSDPA, 5.76Mbps HSUPA)

Yes...I just bought it like 7 days ago from him and he sold it to me for 3K 🙁 . I should have bargained.

Hi All ,I have purchased data card and 4200 recharge i have done on bsnl 3G .i am facing issue like in very 10 sec speed become zero and and again it reach its max up to 2 mbps then again it become zero all downloading and surfing i do stop suddenly and again its start downloading and reloading the webpage .its happning from past 4 days .i would like to know anybody else is facing this issue or only in my area this issue is there.

Hi, i am also facing similar issue but for me it does not go all the way to zero, but drops are there, and getting low speeds of around 1 Mbps

Speed will be fluctuating in 3G. It will be varying atleast 2 times a second. From 2Mbps to 1Mbps and back, 2 times in 1 second. If its showing a peak of 4Mbps, means overall an average speed less than 2Mbps only we are getting. I never faced a speed near zero. The minimum i am getting is 400kbps, thats in peak hours.
