When I look at the page under India Broadband in the forum, I see the main pages of the forums for each of the ISPs linked and listed there.Only Hayai has been singled out for a disclaimer below the main link to this ISP's forum link. Prima facie, it appears rather unfair to single out just this one ISP for the disclaimer when, if I understand correctly, this forum/site ownership has no connection with probably all or most of the listed ISPs.Why so? Just seeking clarification.

I think it is simply because the hayai broadband director Matthew G Carley is a moderator of the subsection hayai in the website. Hence the need to make sure that though he is a moderator , broadbandforum.co itself has no connection with hayai

Well, that is one of the reasons. And another reason was that Hayai was supposed to use broadbandforum.co as their official support forum. they never launched. so it never happened. at least until now. also, I was heavily involved in promoting Hayai online. that put me in sort of a moral dilemma. I am not involved in the project. I do not get any financial help. it was just voluntary. that's why the disclaimer. as for mgc being the moderator of the forum... things would be different after the launch. one would be an official forum for news and other info moderated by mgc. other would be a general forum without him as the moderator. so that he does not get automatic rights to clean up any negative reports on hayai. 😛

Thanks. It does help me understand the situation. But it still sounds unfair because a newbie reading the disclaimer may get the impression there is some scam involving Hayai.Regarding moderators, on many tech fora, they are ordinary members of long and perhaps honourable standing and are not really connected with the site ownership. I presume the same is the case on IBF. Given that, the site owner cannot take responsibility in the short term for moderators' action and therefore the disclaimer is implied for all sections not just Hayai. Just my 2 cents.

Personal "attacks" maybe I would have an issue with (such as that one by Warthog), but otherwise I have no issues with negative reports. I need to know about problems with the service, so that I can make sure things are resolved quickly and effectively; but of course customers are expected to try and resolve issues through our customer support channels (phone, email, web-based helpdesk et cetera) first rather than the forum... of course, like Airtel I would probably have people monitoring the forum for questions and whatnot, just slightly less drone-ish than Airtels ones 😛

LOL. I already have the mobile numbers of my wholesale account managers at Airtel directly, so I wouldn't bother with 121 (even if I were a retail customer) since I can get proper information right from the horses mouth.
