Do you guys think that Sify, in respect to the rise of competition happening, will start to clean up its act and actually give real broadband. I think because of competition Sify may increase it's services, but the hidden rules and stuff may stay. Ultimately, I'm glad there is competiton 😀, because it ultimately benefits us the customer.

Competetion is mainly coming from Govt providers like MTNL/BSNL.Whatever they provide, Sify and Airtel will match that

reliance is one big thing that can totally shake the market overnight.

Well there are many private players that are now giving good competition as well.

yeh ,reliance can help change towards better, but only after it starts giving speeds around 256 or 512 at less expendsive prices

reliance can play the price game. it definitely will s*ck at service and quality.

Reliance does have some internet thing out, but I think it's through the phone. Not sure what's that all about.

the mode of networking does not matter what they serve is what is important. aol dialup in states is faster than most broadbands here.

Correct. Plus the costs @$$ociated with the so called 'broabband phase' in India should drive more companies into competition with each other, therefore truly getting India into the IT field.

why not you people in delhi try spectranet, i am using it and getting constant speeds of more than 512kbps

spectranet has extremely low availability. in prashant vihar the cable guy refuses to provide services in income tax colony because of the main road between the two locations.
