tech specs are quite SAD .... but i guess with the price point of this phone and the consumers which videocon want to target.. its a good startergy... and finally indian companies are getting in the market to produce phones which are quite good ( i must admit i personally have 2 phones a HTC legend and a Sony xperia x8 and after using the micromax cube i was impressed. )
VIDEOCON MOBILE PHONES ENTERS ANDROIDTM MARKET WITH ?ZEUS?
Can we have a full review as well. All link currently available is copy-paste of press release of Videcon 🙂
It would be good if we have a proper review of V7500 to know where this phone stands in market compared to other Android phone available.
It seems Techtree has posted a report on current (end-Oct or early-Nov) smartphones. I figure that LG Optimus P500 and Videocon Zeus V7500 seem the best so far for price of under INR 14,000. Could someone please confirm ... the Zeus has better camera with flash and gives Micro SD 8 GB card and extra 1200 aAV battery. What is the best price point and which stores in Western Mumbai?
but only videocon can provide you official authorized updates.

considering google android is sort of an open source platform... you can download the source code and compile it for your own device.
not as easy as it sounds though. because every phone is different in nature with different hardware specifications.
this is the reason, i suggest staying away from less popular devices (and brands) because it is unlikely to get much attention from the third party developer base.
samsung, htc and motorola devices see massive third party mods. and you might be able to get an unofficial upgrade to newer operating systems even if the company discards the device and no longer provide updates for it.
Yeap. This was the reason I did not think twice before ordering Google Nexus One for myself. From what I have heard... I would get the Android 2.3 update this month itself.
Nexus One will get the upgrade...And I guess the 2.3 Upgrade is available only to Nexus Phones..
And I guess Zeus and Spice Mi-300 are similar phones...The Official Site is still saying that an upgrade to 2.1 will be done is October...We are in December...and I guess the Phone has not been upgraded...Galaxy 3/Galaxy 5..and Optimus One are better buys then Zeus...
