lol...yes...this is called 'Modem' in technical terms. This modem is the actual device which makes your broadband connection work. Router will only connect a computer with modem and with other computers.
Router forwards data packets from one network to other ,Modem modulate and demodulate the data produced on ur pc so u have to use modem to connect rj11 ,if u have mutiple pc's u can use router or else a modem as both rj11 and rj45 ports
