hello,
i am facing problem on trying to open facebook.com, also some other sites such as cracked.com, link-removed.com and myanimelist.net😗. Everything was fine till 12 Friday. But since 13th i am having this problem. I have tried opening them on Opera, FF, Chrome, IE but they all show that they are unable to connect to the sites. Though cracked.com connects, it takes forever to load the page...

I tried opening them through browsefacebook.com and it worked! All four of them opened:huh:. are these sites blocked by my computer? If so how can I unblock them..

I have BSNL limited BB plan, and Nokia c2110 modem?/router? which i recently upgraded its firmware through downloading files from motive.bsnl.co.in. After doing so i was unable to connect to the internet the normal way like I used to do before..you know by windows's connect to a PPPoE connection ....so I configured the router to always be connected to the internet with the help from the following source:
C2110 (Type-A) ADSL MODEM MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION

the self care software didnt run on my machine so i only upgraded the firmware and used the instructions given in the above given site to connect to the internet. But as I mentioned before evrything was fine till yesterday when all of a sudden those sites stopped opening...
So my question is...are those sites blocked? if so, then from where?my computer or the router or did BSnl blocked them....and how do I unblock them
Please help me guys....!

1. Try Opera Turbo and check.2. Change your DNS values to 208.67.222.222, 8.8.8.8.3. Use a proxy and check.4. Clear browser cache and try.5. Disable your firewall / antivirus and try.

wow that was a fast reply :urock:1. tried opera Turbo and it worked..all the sites opened2. how do i do that:huh:3. I went to ipsafety.net and was able to open Facebook4. Done...didnt help5. Disabled firewall and uninstalled antivirus it didnt help

reply to 2nd will bea) open network connection b) select yur connection c)right click on it select propertiesd)select ip4 and put these in dns setting

Network connection > Select your connection > Right click > Properties > TCP/IP properties > Enter the values for DNS as 208.67.222.222 and 8.8.8.8. I too use Opera Turbo for such sites. Check whether you are able to open the site after using new DNS values. If nothing works, stick to Opera Turbo.
