kya baat hai! I come to the forum after a long time and blink my eyes thrice. No comment on whether all this will happen or not. I am too tired of hoping - if it comes, I'll go for it. About the price, I dont care if total bill for a month comes to 1300 bucks...atleast I will have true unlimited 256kbps, and if I calculate it correctly, that is equivalent to 60 GB of download plus 60 GB of upload at the same time, plus or minus some GB depending on downtime, power outage, etc 😀On the same note...I would also go on to say that even if they give 512 kbps unlimited at maybe 2000-3000 bucks, I would still buy it...and get everything I want over a month & two and be done with broadband hehe. Its because there is no end to downloading...and for me there is no point in making a mountain of cd's, dvd's, etc 🙂

Yogi Jee was on long pilgrimage. After coming back there desire for unltd connection has increased further. Just Joking

i agree with yogi... we get "actual 256kbps" connection only in mtnl, airtel ppl are bloddy rogues they charge us for 128 kbps and give a conn speed between 80-110 (usually near 96) and at night nothing more than 210 is reached !!!!

True said yogi ....seriously there is no end to DOWNLOAD DOWNLOAD AND DOWNLOAD.regarding my growing Divx even my 200+160 gb is not enough now for holding all of 'em! At this point i feel like i got all the movies i wanted to download! One of my friend said such feeling is good!Anyway let's wait few days more untill Mtnl shows up with unlimited plans 😱 😛

I had started a similar thread back in October for MTNL unlimited plans in Delhi. I had spoken to the GM, Broadband directly and even he gave me similar assurances.... "I've already sent the proposal and now it's pending approval from the directors which shouldn't take more than a couple of weeks. Monthly charge would be somewhere between Rs. 900-1000"...a month passed so i called him on his cell and he tells me that he has been transferred so he wouldn't know anythin abt it 😛

Anywho...it took them 6 months to come out with the unlimited plan and that too at 1400 bucks a month....weehoo! So, even if they announce the plan as promised, don't expect the rates to be too competitive unless both the Delhi and Mumbai branches agree to drastically alter their pricing strategy.

Wat ur saying waterloo sunset is sad but true. But lets hope they make an exception n come out with this new scheme on 16th Aug 06

ok ppl, i think if MTNL does come out with such a plan then it must be only due to Airtel's pressure. I heard that Airtel is on a spree to install junction boxes in my area. And it really is a SPREE! They were sleeping for like the past 9 months and now they suddenly wake up and start installing stuff 😱Mysterious...

Given a choice between airtel & mtnl (if either/both materialize) - I'll go for mtnl 😀

Guys I was looking at the mtnl delhi's website today, and i noticed that they have a plan called TriB Unlimited priced at 1399. This plan is only on offer till the 31st of July, so i wanted to know is this the real deal. i mean real unlimited.cause i have had enough with sify. i have moved to melbourne for the last 9-10 months but my sister still has to endure it.so guys please advise should i tell them to go for it.Another thing how much does a D-Link 502 costs ? cause i don't wish to rent it from mtnl and keep paying them 80 bucks every month

Now we get the router at 1600-1900 price varies.I bought my own router at 2500. @sanket ... As far as i know that friend always points me as hacker instead of cracker ! I am hybrid ,A combo hacker+cracker lol ! I still remember still those day when i made crack for kundli 2002 and kundli for windows v 4.5 then uploaded to net. my old Hex tools resides in my software directory 😛
