I have a 2mbps Airtel Connection which is rs.1999 per month.I have an FUP of 30gbs after which the speed is 1mbpsI have not been upgraded to 4mbps double speeds.I have been wanting the 4mbps speeds but didn't take Airtel's impatient 4mbps as they has 256kbps after-FUP speeds. But 1 of my friends and many other i talked to on the internet who are on 4mbps Impatient plan are getting 4mbps even after their FUP limit.Anybody else with the same situation? I am really interested in the Impatient plans now

first thing. airtel never announced any plans to double the speeds of 2mbps plans. secondly... you would be taking a very big risk if you are planning to switch to the new plans. airtel might not be applying FUP today. but nothing is stopping them from applying it in the future. personally i would suggest sticking to your current plan till the situation clears up. the new airtel plans are pretty bad. though i am not sure why your FUP limit on the 1999 plan is 30GB it should be 100GB!

i agree with admin , they might want to let ppl in a thinking mode that fup is just on paper and after few days or months they may apply it as they would have made alot of ppl opting out of their higher fup plans...

i can only say one thing. when airtel announced the 100GB FUP limit, we protested against it. a lot of people said that there is nothing to worry about. 100GB is a pretty good limit. if we had issues, we were probably all pirates who download copyrighted content all day long. we had issues with the concept of FUP and it has now come back to bite all of us. the limits are down from 100GB to 8-15-20-40-50GB. and speed drop is massive. airtel is likely to play a baiting game here. luring customers on older plans to the new shittier plans. i would not trust them with ANYTHING right now. i just pay the bill i have been paying for months now. not switching plans because i am getting what i used to get. the day they temper with my current plan, i would raise hell about it and probably throw it out of the house. but i would not touch any of their newer plans from a mile's distance. you have been warned.

its a clear trap actually, they have clearly reduced fup limits and now they want ppl to change their old plans so that new reduced fup could be implemented on most of their customers. its quite apparent...

i know they never did say they would double 2mbps to 4mbps but i was just mentioning what i am thinking of and anyways they should atleast decrease the tarriff as some 1mbps paying customers are getting 2mbps for lower cost

secondly i know it is a risk but i was just discussing the situation

yes i am gonna wait till it all clears up,no change till August atleast for me

rs.1999 2mbps Freedom plan in Mumbai is 30gb FUP limit

hehe. why would they decrease the tariffs. they want customers to switch to lower cost plans! they do not want customers like us. who are on plans that gives more than 256kbps throughout the month.

i agree and am not changing my plan until August and not until the double speed shit ends

hoping TATA TTML which has equal upload and download lower their tarriffs, they are the best operator here in mumbai

but many people with 1mbps rs.1399 freedom unlimited plans got upgraded to 2mbps but some people like me are paying more for the same speed

I called CC today and he said Swift 1099 and 1699 with 100gb FUP are still available although they are not showing on website. So if anybody wants to make a switch may be this is the last chance

I am using 899 4 mpbs plan . My speed is reduced to 256 kpbs after my fair usage policy limit of 6 gb

If you need 2/4 Mbps Unlimited plan go for MTNL. They will surely not disappoint you by applying any fcking FAIR USAGES POLICY. I am currently with DSL_Unlimited_1599 Plan getting enough download speed also. With monthly downloads of approx 150-180 GB.

yeah they aren't decreasing but they should as people paying lower are getting same speeds as people paying more
