I am sick of the FUP nonsense Airtel has been shoving down our throats, and after so many years of an enjoyable experience, I think the time has come to say goodbye to Airtel. So what are our options in terms of alternative ISPs that don't have stupid FUPs? Also could you give pros and cons? (e.g. customer support, downtime, pricing etc.)

Customer service not as good as airtel in the sense that it will take a full day for resolution of a complaint . No Fair Usage Policy shit . Use as much as you want . As long as your wiring is decent and you have an acceptable attenuation and SNR Margin (my downstream attenuation is 0) you will have a decent experience . My two cents .
If you want to venture into dangerous cablenet territory , SpectraNET provides 1 mbps unlimited for 1100 (incl. of taxes) , no idea about other plans .

I will HAVE to shift to MTNL 999 plan if this 15/25 GB FUP BullCr@p turns out to be true on 1299 IPTV plan.
To top that, airtel have changed their night time double speed procedures. earlier speeds would double automatically at night on the 1499 IPTV plan. Now one has to reboot the router in order to get double speeds at night!! #AirtelSucks

IMO, twitter/signature campaigns won't matter unless they spill over into a fairly sizable number (hundreds of thousands) which catches the eye of the TV media.*Airtel is basically wanting to wash its hands off users who consume what they consider as excessive bandwidth.I will give it up as a lost cause if I find out that this 1299 plan has 15/25 GB FUP with 256 kbps downgrade speeds for the whole month.Why should I tear my hair in frustration when I have an alternative in MTNL?
it may happen in the next month or so if this FUP nightmare scenario turns out to be true.As things would have it, I may also have to change my residence. So, I guess if that happens and I have to move to a new place, I will start off there with MTNL...Changes... May happen. May not happen. Life... Sucks.... 🙁
I am definitely considering getting MTNL (probably 2Mbps unlimited) I think what I will do is get it fixed and have both for a month, and as long as MTNL gives me satisfactory service (good speeds, negligible downtime) then I will discontinue Airtel. My only hesitation has been that the MTNL landline in my house has some seriously shitty wiring, and the line is very noisy and is usually dead at least 2-3 times a month. I guess I will also have to talk to them about changing the wiring.
It really sucks why BSNL cant follow MTNL dcided plans.. i wish they consider doing it too that would be good for BSNL too
