umm... india is fairly democratic in this aspect. we already have television shows mocking our politicians. gods are another matter. of course we already have a similar case with that gandhi impersonator.

sometimes i wonder if this is good or bad? like only 1 party decides and that decision is final. if party is smart and kind it wud be best for country else country wud head down. but as of now china seems to be heading up.
not necessarily. good government with absolute power can bring total revolution. but that we dont see much. in case of India, say like nuclear bill issue is in deadlock. i dont know if its good or bad, but comeon with abs power one can come to a conclusion atleast. either sign it or drop it, and move ahead.

I think the US & the UK did support our govt. on this but when it comes to doing anything well i guess there won't be any takers.

Impeccable timing rubbing Chinese pride into the ground. Am not much for coincidences but -Berlin Olympics, 1936 = End of Hitler 8 odd years later.Moscow Olympics, 1980 = End of Communism again, 8 odd years later.Beijing Olympics, 2008 = Democracy in China, 8 odd years later?
Umm.. Democracy in China wud probably be their downfall!! Because right now labour is so cheap in China. But introduction of democracy it wud no longer be so. Decisions wud not be taken fast and there will be several opinions in taking decision. etc etc.but anyway i dont see it in 8yrs
