Vodafone gives balance alerts after *every* message. I have a message card and do not need that! How do I stop it? CC says it cannot be stopped. There has the be a way!

Let me know if you figure out a way to stop those 'alerts'. Even I'm interested in doing so.

And I want to enable this alert!! I dont get such alerts after i make call. I have seen it happening in other states. Even in MTNL mumbai it happens.

@iChaitanya: No luck till now. Mail vodafone about this, and how annoying this is. Tell some of your voda friends to do this too. If they get enough requests, they might do something about it. They say they had a method of individually disabling them, but now they don't.

Welcome to the club 😀... 2 months ago i tried every possible way to get these alerts stopped-their twitter help, emails, phone calls.... but absolutely NO luck at all. Fiddled with every setting in my phone (2700c) but NO 🙁 🙁 their technical team said there is no such setting at their end to stop these for a subscriber on prepaid.

*BUT* for 48 hours during the time i was nagging them, the alerts did stop (damn it was like mobile heaven!) but they just started again. when i asked them how was it that they did stop, they said it might be because of connectivity issues.

and what is even more irritating is that with the free sms pack these don't even have any use even for those who do want to know their balance...
now as a direct consequence of these alerts i have just stopped messaging altogether... nice job vodafone 😛

once i had a balance related issue with vodafone (i was actually charged around 50 bucks for gprs usage even though i had activated the unlimited plan)it took them around a week to resolve the issue and credit my balance and in those 7 days i didn't get balance alerts while messaging or even phone calls

send a text message NPCN to 111, and the Post Call Notification will be deactivated in 48 hours...

Man i've got just two words for you, THANKS LOADS!!! I sent the sms and i got the response for the deactivation of PCN (They haven't disabled yet but waiting n watching). Then how come nobody knew when i had nagged them for approximately a week!?!

They've been stopped? Are you sure? CC told me to do this, but then I got a call and they said that NCPN to 111 thing won't do anything. WTH Vodafone.

Yes they stopped after about 24 hrs of sending the command.. whats to be sure about it... i dont get them now 😛.
LOL now i know they're dumb. I had even got the confirmation of receipt of this command by 111, stating that post call notifications would be disabled within 48 hrs.

I wonder where did raag30 get the info about this command?!

EDIT:
And i think i was told about the same command 4 months back (when i first contacted them for this) but i'm not sure it was the same, but nothing happened with the command and their system could not recognize it (stated in its response)... so i guess they enabled it only recently and haven't informed their cc execs maybe...

I've gained around 50% more battery time after these damned alerts switched off! My phone used to vibrate 6 times because of these.
