Then how much bill I expect for every month if i'm not exceeding the phone call limit?Whether Netgear ADSL Wifi modem suit for airtel broadband?

I got an airtel BB connection in feb>I paid 3 months advance (499 plan X 3)= 1497 Rs for a free connection and free installation, my entry fees was absolutely zero.Pls check if there is any scheme like this now.later after one week you may change the plan to better one.right now I am getting 512 kbps for 360 rental, provided by retention dept.

I think the Airtel tariff is Rs 799 for 256kbps unlimited broadband (No free phone calls. Paid calls @ Re1 for 3 minute duration). After June the speed will be upgraded to 512kbps

trick to get this (or this type of plan)wait for your first bill, then call 121 and told that you are not able to pay such high rental and want to discontinue the service.then your call will be transferred to retention dept and you will get 20% discount on your present rental.After getting second bill, call again 121, and told same thing as above.then they will offer you some plan like mine.good luck to you guys...:urock:

The Airtel website says Rs 500 for modem installation and again at the bottom it says Rs 500 for installation. I guess it must be Rs 500 for modem and Rs 500 for installation/internal wiring. ( I dont recall how much I was charged....I got my connection many years back)
