Sify blocking all p2p apps?

to disable xp(sp2)firewall.u can use this regtweak;Disable Security Center[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\wscsvc]"Start"=dword:00000004;Disable Windows Firewall / ICS[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SharedAccess]"Start"=dword:00000004
 
🙂 first of all gaurav.. please do not post in uppercase.. it is considered rude and offensive..i have disabled all firewalls for dc++ and even posted my ip in the settings by going whatismyip.com but it doesn't work.. iget the hub list and when i click on connect the operation times out with me being unable to connect 🙁

Well what u can do is read the dc++ faq
its really good.....see how to setup active mode
and usng upnp....the author gives a small utility called upnptest.exe which checks if upnp services r running properly on your pc and if your router is configured properly .... if u somehow u get the upnp running u will never have any probs...
see that and tell me if it works

ppl i am sorry to be posting in upper case .... its just that it has become a habit....it wont happen again shusubh...thankx for being patient....

Try Ares. Have heard about so many P2P programs till now, but this is the fastest i've ever experienced, simple and easy to use as well. It will also s*ck all of your bandwidth so u may experience problems in browsing, but if u're looking for a P2P then i don't think u'd care about browsing that much. Download this and enjoy!!!
 
I thought Sushubh was really going to get mad when you1. Quoted the post above yours and messed up his spelling in the same post2. Didn't use the edit option to change your post and instead made another one.Personally I don't care that much but I was really looking foreward to Sushubh's reaction, I'm bad :lol:
