I think real problem is corruption in file system. Unless newer verions of PM ot Gpart have scandisk functionality built in, do NOT try those on this disk wihtout a complete backup.Or fix the disk with scandisk or some other tool.

PM has internal disk checking utilities. right click on disk(with errors) and chk for errors!
back-up data and format the disk

PM does not, i think it just calls chkdsk.
