LUBUNTU- Superfast UBUNTU for Older Slower PCs

Dear friends!
LUBUNTU is a light weight, less energy & less resource hungry version of
UBUNTU for superfast desktop performance. Videos of the LUBUNTU desktop
in action are available on www.youtube.com.

I hope you are aware of the recent release of LUBUNTU 10-04 lucid lynx
(based on UBUNTU 10-04). It is disappointing to find that Canonical is
not offering CDs of LUBUNTU (which is about 400mb) as of now.

If anyone of you has downloaded the iso image file of LUBUNTU at the
above hyperlink, OR can download it by virtue of your access to liberal
internet bandwidth, I request you to please send me a copy of the same
on a CD by post. If you're in vizag, I can collect it personally. Else,
I promise to re-imburse the cost of CD /DVD & postage by MO.

***: If you have a downloaded CD /DVD image of "Ubuntu 10-04" you may
kindly include it in your CD / DVD mailer to me as well, along with
"LUBUNTU 10-04" CD image. ***

wasnt xubuntu known as light weight version of ubuntu based on xfce?

I had tried Lubuntu 10.04 (based on LXDE) during its alpha/beta days and it looked better to me than Xubuntu (Xfce) 🙂 I hope it becomes accepted as an "official derivative" (like Kubuntu/Edubuntu/Xubuntu), right now I think its still a side project sort of.
