A Silly Doubt!

It may sound silly, i have a doubt whether if your phone is out of order, does still the broadband work? since if you can speak even when the broadband is on, so if the phone is out of order, will broadband work? :blink:
 
^ if the phone has become faulty , but its cable is not disturbed then the broadband connection may work . The phone's voice signals & the dataone broadband signals are on different frequencies carried over the same cable .A phone doesnt work due to many reasons ( including breaking of the cable )
 
It works fine in case the phone goes dead...except for the fact if the cable is broken a some point from the exchange to ur house.
 
I think the cable is fine but phone is not working, i am getting lan connection in the modem, it means that cable is intac right?

No it means that cable (cat5 ethernet) running from computer to modem is fine. It doesnt tell u anything abt the telephone cable running from ur home to the exchange.
 

well, the last month my phone was dead, but the broadband was working fine. so yeah, i don't think it's gonna be a problem..
