The Coolest One!!!
Guys, I'm stuck with a weird USB problem. I just bought a new PC. P4 3.06 GHz, 1 GB DDR RAM, 200 GB SATA HDD, 6 USB ports (2 front, 4 back). My old PC was quite modest but it didn't give me any prob as this one is giving. The configuration of the old one was...Celeron 1.70 GHz, 128 MB DDR RAM, 40 GB HDD, 4 USB ports (2 front, 2 back). Now the problem i'm facing is that in this new PC i'm unable to use my Y@p Phone which is a USB device and it makes a "sound device" just like another sound card, and you can use it in any VoIP software and even MSN/Yahoo or any other software which uses voice chat. The problem is that when I connected the USB phone for the first time in the fresh install of Win XP Pro, it was working fine. Then I installed Pinnacle PCTV (TV tuner card) and I think since then i'm having problems, though i'm not sure about it. Today morning, everything was normal and I even used the Y@p Phone and talked for a while, but after some time, when I again tried to call, the Y@p phone was gone from the "sound device" list. It would only show my on-board sound card (Realtek HD Audio). I've tried almost everything to try to get it back on the "sound device" list in the "device manager" section, but nothing worked. I uninstalled and re-installed the drivers like 100 times, but to no avail. The most weird thing is that when I scanned my PC with some third party software for installed drivers, in the device manager section it did show "USB Sound Device" under "Sound, video, and game controllers" and "Y@p Phone" under "Universal Serial Bus" controllers" section, when it won't show up in the actual device manager list. So I got to the conclusion that the drivers are installed but it's not just showing it up. Earlier I was trying to install on the front USB ports without any success, but just now I even tried on the back USB port and the same issue is still there. There is one green light on the Y@p Phone which glows for a while when you start your PC and it will go off soon, but now it's constantly on. Even the Y@p Phone software is not recognizing it. Basically, it just won't show up anywhere, and if I connect on any new USB port, it will just say that it found a new hardware and it will install the drivers properly, but then it won't work. I've searched a whole lot of places but haven't found anything fruitful. So does anyone have any idea what's going on wrong here??Thanks in advance.
