The connection was disconnecting (for about 2 sec) and connecting again quite a few times today.. Did any1 else experience the same?

No such problem. Check if there is disturbance in your telephone line.I am from mumbai.

Hmm.. can be because of that.. actually, there isnt any disturbance, but phone stops ringing after one bell :huh:
