Airtel Logo on Channels: Airtel is working hard to ruin IPTV experience

See that logo at the bottom right... As mentioned by a forum member in another thread, Airtel is working hard to ruin the IPTV experience for all the people who are hooked on to it.

Please post your opinions about the addition of Airtel branding on the channel feeds. I would forward the responses to Airtel management people. I sincerely hope they would listen and ensure that the feed remains pure and we do not end up seeing their branding on each and every channel...

It is simply unacceptable. IPTV has to be better than DTH services out there.

i hope they don't add logo to all the channels as an afterthought when they receive our complaint 😛

As the DTH/IPTV provider is required to provide fingerprinting (The Various nos.which are seen on the screen from time to time... fortunately not on Airtel IPTV) by the Broadcasters and we have to bear with these nos. popping on most undesired parts of the screen from time to time. BUT There is no requirement of the DTH/IPTV Providers to add their branding on the screen. All the DTH Providers (At least TS and Dish ) added their branding as afterthought. It is just cool to add their brand and get free advertising I guess. If airtel is going to add the logos, it will be well within its rights to do so(But it is not mandatory to add its logo). We as consumers will be greatly harmed if we do not protest this. We know the airtel brand and we know that we are not going to change our service provider even if there any more ludicrous offering made to us. We are very satisfied with QoS of Airtel (Though their is more scope for improvements). So Airtel PLEASE don't start to put your logo on those channels. Let it be like International broadcasters like comcast/directv etc

righto. they have no acceptable reasons to put their branding on the channels. they charge the money they want from us customers. we should get the feed undisturbed. the logo messes up the whole look of the programming. i have not seen international programming with the cable company's logo slapped on them. it is just the channel's own logo that is visible on the feed. totally unacceptable.

airtel is a fraud company on internet they have fair use policy , on mobile phone they can block you on CC ,

the logo is gone today

great. i am switching to my cable guy this week. i am done with airtel iptv. no new channels. crappy stream. buggy user interface. and now this. time shift is the ONLY saving grace. i mean wtf. they testing this thing for like 2-3-4 years. they have launched it for 13 months now. and they are still serving it like a beta product!

I have to ask one question here. One simple question.

Why do you guys need to put the Airtel branding on the feed that we get on IPTV?

It worked fine for a year now. I have learnt to live with the glitches that IPTV presents. Time Shift is something I have gotten used to.

But watching the opaque logo on every channel that I watch? Reminds me of the day when I was stuck with Zee Dish TV.

I would seriously request you guys to reconsider this decision. I am not alone. I know a couple of other Airtel IPTV users who are hating this new development.

I sincerely hope that you would consider this request and do something about it.

Otherwise, I would have to switch back to the nightmare called cable. At least that would enable me to access the new channels that have arrived in the recent times and are missing from Airtel IPTV since ever.

Thankfully though there is no Logo yet on TSTV and maybe that luxury will go soon too. BTW instead of the logo I was getting a black band throughought the bottom part of the screen yesterday... forgot to take pictures of that. Had to reset the STB by cutting the power and restarting....That fixed the problem
