Hi,Based on your personal experience, can anyone please tell me as to which is the best ISP for a broadband connection if I want an unlimited download per month? Speed is not an issue. I just want an unlimited download no cap like 4gb or 15 gb etc as imposed by many ISPs in India. Thanks

Considering that speed is not an issue, you can go for the airtel 64,128 or 256kbps plans(these are unaffected by FUP) or else, even if speed is an issue, take a FUP'ed plan of double your speed required, that ensures a minimum speed of what you need

Akash,

Thanks a lot for the quick reply. I do get those advertisement papers ie pamphlets through the door but whenever I aks them they misguide me saying their is always some cap on the download per month and this makes me mad to be honest. These sales people are not that well-trained as it seems to me. You know anyone with any of these Airtel plans (64/128/256 kbps)?

Please guide me and thanks for your time, appreciated..

I do have the 256kbps plan with IPTV which costs 999+taxes a monthand am getting another 128 kbps plan(599+taxes) these plans do not have any limit.I know people who max out their 799(256kbps plans) 24x7, nothing happens. Issues are there only on plans above 256kbps

Thanks again. Do you have the latest plans + speed details and their prices with you? I have shifted to a new location and thrown the old plans away while moving. Thanks a lot.

Why dont you go for BSNL UL @ Rs.750 per month. No FUP, simply download+upload UL @ 256 kbps.

Oh, this is very interesting as I never take BSNL or MTNL seriously. No fair usage policy that too with BSNL packages, this is really a good news.

Thanks a lot, I will do some inquiry.

I've been using bsnl unlimited plan 750ul+ for 3years ,if you go for bsnl go for UL750+ not UL750 because with UL750+ you have to pay only 750 per month including phone rent with UL750 it is 750 + phone rentairtel also has 256kbs UL for rs 750

agree with you on the bsnl 750combo plan i have been using that too for over a yaer now and it works fine. only once in a blue moon it gives problem like no connectivity which gets resorted in like 3-4 days . depends on how persuasive you are .

I use YouTelecom broadband 699/mo for 384kbps unlimited no FUP crap. Not sure if they are national outfit but they're in B'lore, HYD and Vizag for sure.

I live out by Whitefield near the Kadugodi area. Check out youtele.com and fill out that inquiry form. They're a cable modem based provider so if your neighborhood has the infrastructure you might be in luck.

well if you live in or near whitefield , you might also be getting railwire over there and they give 256kbps for 320 and 512kbps for 620

they got some awesome tariff plans
