NAGPUR: Minister of State for Communication Sachin Pilot on Thursday said efforts are on to have at least 40 phone users per 100 inhabitants in the
country by 2014.
"Teledensity, which was about two per cent in 1995 is on the rise and efforts are being made by BSNL to make it 40 per cent by 2014," Pilot told reporters here.
He said BSNL would be expanding its telephone network and all villages with a minimum of 200 people would be provided broadband connections.
