BSNL 500C first month bill

Hi,

I need your help regarding my first month broadband bill. I got my Home 500 Combo plan from BSNL effective from 21.10.2009. Before that I had a sulabh landline connection. But when I got the bill of october I was in confusion. As my plan is 500C, there should not be a seperate rental for phone. I got bill of 1428 which is divided as follows:

Others Charge: 1193 Rs.(approx) which is subdivided as

Modem price: 1000 Rs.
BB fixed charge: 183.(I assume that it is the break in charge as I had taken the connection on 21st of month).
Upto that was good. But excluding other charge there was a fixed charge.

Fixed charge: 196 Rs. and the rest is taxes.
My question is:

How can they charge me the rental when I have taken a 500 Combo Plan? :O
and if this is not the rental, then what is this fixed charge? Because they have already included the BB fixed charge.

Please guys help me!
 
Tariff Plan 500C.
Probably "ONE INDIA PLAN"
RENTAL for full month Rs 180/= has been
charged.
Phone rent always charged for full month
except when L/L is faulty.
Call charges Beyond free call limits Rs 1.20 Rs 1.00 As per One India As per One India
IN all Home plans higher tariff plans only shows NIL
 
I think I do not get you properly. Do I have to pay this 196 Rs. amount every month along with 500 for broadband charge? That comes approx 700 Rs.+ taxes extra. But then what is the meaning of 500C combo? The website clearly states that the entire phone rentals will be Nil and so I guess I have to pay 500 Rs.+taxes every month. And for extra call charges it will be as per one India plan. there should not be any rent for landline under 500c and 500c+ plans.
 
Thats what I am talking. Seems they have made a mistake. But what about the security deposit? Do they take it?
 
There is no security deposit for plan 500c. you can approach accounts section of bsnl to get it rectified and only then pay this bill. 🙂

One month charges as per Plan but maximum to Rs 5000/- (or as applicable)

Advance Monthly Rental for BB As per billing cycle (one Month /two months)

Shifting Charges Nil
Change of Plan Charges Nil
 
^^^ may be the security deposit is there. But they didn't collect security deposit from me at the time of connection. 😉
 
Check the usage details at data.bsnl.in. To check your plan, go to data.bsnl.in, log in using your 14 digit portal id and take my orders. Enter the telephone no in the prescribed format and hit search. Check your current plan.
