well the disconnecting problem has more or less been cured but still i suffer from terrible data losses . Priyoban isnt there something i can do from my side before calling cc ?

the sending receiving monitors on the system tray both turn black and at that time the webpages just stop loading . Even if im chatting on yahoo or msn i dont get messages that others have sent . And now when i log out that session expired logout unsuccessful error pops

that test aslo didnt work this is the error i got* Downloading file of size 1024000: Failed to download: Read timed outnow what should i do this has again started frustating me a lot . Well ive informed cc about this lets see what they do

im positive it isnt because of my firewall . Cuz i told you that ive been using the same firewall for the last 3 months and ive never had this problem until the last 2-3 weeks . Ive never changed any settings just kept them at defaults .

Yeah man... I too face the same problem, since 1 or 2 weeks. I m from mumbai as well.I have a similar package like urs... dudeIf I have to correctly describe this problem..I face problems while downloading a non-resume supported files.. (I mean while I download from link-removed Servers, which do not give resume support)My internet connection is active but, It definitely gets disconnected in between, 'coz my non-resume supported files stop abrubtly in between the download process.. And I have to start downloadin them all over again... 🙁And this issue has started to happen recently... My system is well protected from virus & spyware, & nor a issue related to firewall, I use ZoneAlarm since 1n half years.. So, this issue is definitely with Sify.Hope they figure it out soonGuys.. If anyone has got some updates on this .. plzzz.. lemme know..

just type in run ping your Default gateway -t -l 1000 and then see replies should not be more than 6-7 seconds.

if it is more than 6-7 seconds then get in touch with CTO to look you connectivity.

and if ok then download Dr. TCP/IP.

i got ttl as 30 time as 4 ms . It even said request timed out in between twice or thrice . and i dont know what you mean by replies should not be more than 6-7 seconds. And i have dr. tcp as well

Pinging 10.xx.xx.1 with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 10.xx.xx.1: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=255
Reply from 10.xx.xx.1: bytes=32 time

you shoud not get any timed outs at any time. if u r getting them then contact your CTO for the same. because its a connectivity issue. some switch might be doing that.

and mr power i asked him to ping with 1000 bytes. because with 32 bytes it will always seem fine.
if u've seen my prev reply.

and that's why u r getting frequent disconnections. and if u use any torrent or P2P software u'll find that suddenly ur speed decreases drasticaly.

i had same problem.
