IT took me only 13 minutes to get Win 7 installed an running from a flash drive , its esay to make a bootable pen drive with ultra iso 🙂BTw windows 7 has problems or has no go when the mother board is replaced , i recently replaced my trouble some abit ip 35 e and installed a new mobo . Windows 7 refused to started . i tried all the option but couldnt repair .luckily i had istalled my old hero win xp on dual boot 🙂

i think both windows vista and windows 7 would face issues when a critical hardware component like a motherboard is replaced. it considers it as a changed hardware and requires activation. i was assuming that the operating system would ask for re-activation. but not working? that's unusual.

i wonder why ms cannot fix the minute driver issues ?

^True. Windows 7 activates itself by checking the OEM of PC which is nothing but the make of the motherboard.

No , that's not the problem ... i think its illegal talking abt the bios patch here 🙂 .

By mentioning about how Windows 7 activates I didn't encourage anyone to use the 'patch' as you mentioned. So I don't think I've done an illegal thing 😉.

I just wanted to point out it was caused not because of the activation but of the driver changes 🙂

from my past experience a activated windows will not boot even if you change rams or interchange rams in slots / change network card or change processors / change harddisk via cloning etc.

And I wanted to point out exactly why it was caused 😀!
