u can cap CABLE MODEM . coz whn cable modem SYNC up with ISP .. it download smal file(contain your speed settings ) 😀 from their server and cable modedm stored tht in its flash ..
i have done this on SB4100 and it worked great ..though caught after 2 days (POOR IQARA ) 😛 😛 😛 😛

Man AFAIK you _CANT_ uncap dsl modems. Airtel uses DSL . Please point a link as to how the person uncapped his airtel modem!!!!!!!
Forget about uncapping , going from the experience of people here , Airtel doesnt even give the promised 256 kbps....and what with uncapping?!??!?!?
i knew ppl who uncapped airtels n got caught n finally posed as if they are nooby to computers n notin happened .

right ... u cant UNCAP ADSL (BSNL) OR SDSL ( AIRTEL) ot any other DSL version ... because they Set the Speed on on EAch PORT of their DSLAM ..
Only CAble Technology can be uncapped ..

hello varkey, can u tell me exactly wat plan u took initially frm ADL ppl n how much were u payin n wat da limit was? n plz tell me how did try to uncap da speed on da cable modem which ADL provided u..... ? i gess its motorola.... n did u jus outright purschase da modem frm dem?
Plz tell me as i hav applied for ADL's 1mpbs connection plan... n da limit dey offfer 8gb per yr is not fair..... cuz my average download hits abt 4-5 gb in jus 2 months..... this plan wud b activated in nex month for me.... n i was not at all satisfied wid this fking bsnl's dataone.... am stuck wid it..... 🙁
