Quoting from the You Telecom website.
Infrastructure
"YOU’s over 1155 kms of optic fibre cable and 4000 kms of last mile coaxial cable network in all its operational cities facilitates world-class service delivery to its customers. The company has so far invested Rs 4 billion on broadband cable infrastructure across 12 operational cities. The network has been put together by partnering with companies likes
Motorola, Avvaya, Commscope,
Cisco etc. YOU employs over 1400 people across 12 cities and plans to double up its talent base over the next two years."
@mgcarley . You seem to be too generic while responding to queries about competitors. You telecom does have its own last mile connectivity and no affiliations with any cable operators.
Well, I said it was unlikely, not impossible that they had sorted out their own last mile - so while I am surprised to learn that they actually do own their last mile, I can only say "congratulations to YOU Telecom". But I live about 200-300m from Citylight in Mumbai and yet they don't supply my building, so that 4,000km of co-ax is of no use to me. In my opinion, they're investing in the wrong type of last mile
🙂
As for my replies about competitors, I can only say things on a kind of "off the record" basis - and even then, only with my own experiences OR from what I have heard.
Technically speaking, I should only speak positively about my "competitors", but rarely are there too many positive things to say, although I'm happy to spread the word IF I receive good service. I can't say anything negative about them because 1. It would be "bad juju" and probably backfire and 2. It is likely a grey area for me legally speaking. Just ask admin
