Hi All,I have an airtel broadband connection(unlimited download plan) and the router provided by them is ADSL2+ ROUTER. We are three people using the same connection. I want to make sure that nobody uses torrents as it sucks all the speed. How can i prevent or block torrent usage?

don't you have an option on torrent softwares where you can limit the download speed? 🙂 just wondering

@taranfxHave you tried blocking the ports 444-65534 to check?Yahoo, gtalk all use port 80 to connect... AIM uses port 3190 but switches to 443 if no connection available. It is very well known that torrent apps will try to switch to a lower 4 digit port to access if 5 Digit port services are blocked. if u try 1024 there is a good possibility that torrents will connect. Please do some homework b4 u post.:notallowed:

U mentioned only messengers... but yes for other non messenger apps 1024 is a better option still it would not tighten the noose on torrents and other P2P.🙁

getting horrible speeds on torrents right now 😕 dunno what is wrong. even on VPN, i cannot get decent speeds.
