Im using Home 1800 and I have UT Starcom Modem.
I never had this problem since an year, but since 5-6 days, this shit is happening.

My internet gets disconnected and connected automatically in 15-20 minutes.
im completely frustrated. I had setup the pppoe connection 5 months back, but after that I had formatted my system and then I never edited my settings and I just have to swmitch on my Modem everyday and it gets connected automatically.
Now, the thing is, it gets automatically disconnected and conneted in the middle and also sometime it happens that, the GREEN data light is on on the modem, but on my PC, it shows DISCONNECTED-IDENTIFYING (Vista) and then again after 5-10 minutes, it shows connected..
I know, when GREEN light goes OFF, it means, No internet. But story is, Green light shows ON, but no internet and then when I restart the modem, then it shows, GREEN light is OFF. IT seems, its just hanging, when getting disconnected. BSNL is such a bull shit.

I dont understand, who is the culprit. My PC or my Modem. Suggest me the ultimate solution to this please. This is just wasting my time..

Yeah this is the problem which are becoming very frequent i have been facing the problem ........... since a month .........
The problem causeing this was the
ADSL mulitpluter port are weaking ...... this looks funny but this is real .......
I have been using BSNl for about 3 months ... ( i got a new connection on my name ) the port of the adsl mulipluxer was burnt . i went into the BSNL exchange ......... ... then they shifted to new port which was worse than the previous one ........... disconnecting every 30 mins or odd. .......
damm my old bsnl was so good that it disconnects that it disconnects only after the DHCP lease of the ip expires .............
I am going to get this thing down ....... with in 2 days bsnl people are comig to my house for the testing ...................
this is the pre-indication of PPPOE down ... problem ......... as far as i Know ...............
I will be mentioning whatever they say to me ..........

And what to ask them to rectify or what to tell them ??

Don't close the problem untill u got the solved .... they say that it will get solved .........
Even they say don;t close it ... if the complaint is open ... they will listen to u ...........

The think happened to me after complaining
1 day : Complained to 1800-424-1600
After a few hours i got a call from BSNL Office ( this a person who takes the problem )
After an hour got a call from GM of the BSNL who said that he heads the Broadband of my district .. i have explained the problem
2 day : the GM of my area called me and said to try with an another
router .....
Even i have tried it lately i have tried with 4 router .. one the Router was
Cisco 1800 adsl ported router ......... the most powerful router's on the planet for ADSL ........................
Again called me and said that he will closing the problem .......... and call me after some testing .........
3 day : Even everything was tested previously .... ,, for the sake of bsnl people i have tried everything
When i called to that guy he transfered the call to other fellow ...... the last thing i got """ this was not over problem ........ Call Broadband section """
4 day : Registered the Complaint again
