What exactly is a torrent? What s/ws are reqd to run it? Will it run on dial -up?Thx

it would technically work on dialup. but it is good only for connections that stays on continuosly.

well if i ignore the sarcasm. torrents require constant connectivity rather than high speeds. 🙂 coz if you break the connection for a while regularly, the software would have to find seeds everytime. the later versions are pretty smart. 🙂

impetus dont think too much just download a torrent client then find a torrent file and start downloading.
