limited connectivity or no connectivity..help me

Post details of your modem/make like Ut300R2u siemensSl2_141 etc.

Visit
BSNL BROADBAND MAIN MENU
and select your modem for settings.

Go to the TCP/IP properties and change as follows.

IP Address: 192.168.1.2
Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
DNS Server: 208.67.222.22
208.67.220.220
 
should i write these settings manually..........but after this my lan icon dissappers.........n i cannot access router ..
 


IP Address: 169.254.129.163
If you had selected assign Ip address automatically,
This Ip address appears as Microsoft default address,
and you will NEVER get connected.
1.
How do you try to connect ?
IN "Dialer" mode by entering UserID and PW in computer window.?
Or
"Always On" mode userID and PW entered in the modem.

2. In Diagnostics page of your modem, which entries show FAIL ?

3. START \ NETWORK \ LAN \ PROPERTIES\
New page network settings will open
High ligh TCP/IP
Properties
New Window.
Here enter
192.168.1.10
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.1

dns 208.67.220.220
208.67.222.222
Apply Save.
Now try internet connection.
If still problem
see the Ut300R2U link and check your modem settings.
recheck ipconfig /all data Post it here. .
 
@chiCongrats.Save present modem settings NOW.Open modem menu . Management or Maintenance Select "Save Settings".Save to say C:\My Documents \ chi modem AugustYou can restore this at a later date.Click the "SCALE" icon on top. of member's postand give your comments Either Positive or Negative.
