Batelco raises its stake in S Tel Communications to 42.7 %

In line with its expansion strategy into the Indian telecommunications market, Batelco has completed the 2nd phase of its deal by investing a further US$38.8 million to bring its current shareholding in STel Limited (S Tel) to 42.7%.

Kool!! Makes Buisness sense to invest a US$38 million dollars against profit of US$238 million.. $38 million investment for a stake in a non-operational start up company is a peanut compared to committments of etisalat or that of exsisting players reliance, tata who has committed phased expenditure well over $2 Billion each.All said & done, these TELCOs are trading licenses / businesses benifitting only the promoters, the big Q: when will they actually rollout network & bring market excitements? I am told some telco licences issued as far as Oct 2007 are yet to see rollouts.. Hope the indian subscribers patience are not tested further... Mr Raja are you listening???😕:isleep:
