Everyone on this forum loves golden hours, and its very hard to get into each and everyone.. so what I am suggesting is,if everyone co-operates and is willing to help, I can do the following:Set up a server which will constantly monitor the register.mtnl.net.in serverWhen the server ping reply goes down, it will contact a list of subscribers viaemail, msn messenger, and smsI need a bit of help to get this going, such as a hosting server that wouldn't mind a script running 24/7 and sending out emails almost everyday.Let me know what you think about this idea..

hahahaaa....this is so stupid...😀this is the stupidest idea since ...since the hydrogen bomb......its a joke right?

Nope dude you are right....dude you know free monitoring service like siteuptime is available which Advance user already uses it......Thanks for offer!!!Notify me abot your Progress..

Im just wondering why exactly is it stupid? It would simply be a script that monitors thier server.. as soon as it notices down time it would contact everyone who is intrested.. what better way can you think off to be accurately informed about gh's..

it is not stupid....it is the most intelligent solution that anyone could ever come up with. 🤔 Incredible B)

teccoder,

Sites offering such services are already available. Check out :

1) http://www.siteuptime.com
2) http://www.serviceuptime.com

Both of these will notify you when a server that you specify goes down. I have been using them for months, and have already shared them in this forum in the past.

However, their free service will only send you an email (good enough for me) when the server goes down. For receiving an SMS, you have to register for their paid service.

Regards,
Mario

Whats the point? Mario that makes very little sense to me.. to recieve an email you need to be online.. and noone who uses the NU plans can afford to be online 24/7 since bandwith runs out pretty quickly..Recieving and sms would be a lot more convinient and require a lot less effort on my part..

^^^ whole bandwith runs out just because you are online???? :wacko:dude get a grip.......
