BSNL IPTV less feasible in Hyderabad

Guys, Here is a little dissapointment for IPTV aspirers in Hyd. Cuz, you must be within 2 KM (for attenuation rates of less than 20) of your exchange and your SNR margin must be above 15. :hysterical:I have practially tried everything possible to increase the SNR and decrease the Line Atten at 2.97 KM from the exchange.Do let me know fellas if you have got better ideas

Now, I've tried these (1) Connected phone AFTER the ADSL splitter. (2) Removed cables joint blackening and oxidization (relatively new wires) (3) Used short new RJ11 cables.

Have NOT tried changing the ADSL modulation to G.DMT yet.

Zillion thanx to anyone who can give me ideas to improve the SNR and lower the attenuation :wewin:

i'll tell u, just call up the telephone exchange and say "line ki earthing kum kar do" i.e. ask them to lower the earthing on your line if this doesn't solve ur prblm then ask them to do a "pair change".
and btw whats ur downstream rate bcoz for different rates the snr changes

when i had opted for the iptv my snr was less than 10 but i got it fixed with the help of lineman and exchange😀
changing to g.dmt might not help bcoz it depends on the noise in the wire coming frm exchange to ur house

Hi there, thanks for the suggestion, I'm gonna try that as well.

Allow me to list the problems since I subscribed MyWay.

1. The tech guy could do nothing to improve the SNR and left stating it is not feasible since I stay 3 km away from the exchange.

2. I showed the ADSL stats to the JTO and he did not understand SNR or attenuation and why they were low.

3. I mailed my stats to the DE, their office calls me up and say they do not deal with IPTV (though I attached a pic of MyWay and BSNL tie-up page)

3. Local MyWay sales team say their job is over after selling.

4. Local MyWay tech guy has stopped taking my calls.

5. Now Delhi says, we will refund your money.
