Tata Indicom Photon Plus: Error : 1722 RPC server not available.

I am using photon+ wireless broadband. I am getting the following error messeage "error 633 the modem or other connecting device is already in use or is not configured properly" ans Internet stops functioning. Unless I restart, this problem doesn't go. Is there any solution. I am using Acer notebook with Wndows XpI am getting the same problem. Tata photon people says it's WinXP fault. I have formatted my PC thrice installed 3 diff Winxp versions, not working at all.Error : 1722 RPC server not available.Why it's giving this kind of error?? what's the solution?Winxp with SP2,SP3 tried on Pentum Dual core and celeron notebook.

Hi,The problem is with ur systems IRQ. The Tata Photon+ is USB 1.1. The internet connectivity is through serial communication which needs supported baud rate and IRQ channel for proper functioning.I suggest u better check with other systems (ur friends or work place).Update ur chipset drivers.Update with Windows ServicePack, Hot-fixes.

It might be happening because of Data Execution PreventionTry this… should help1. click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance and then click System. 2. Click the Advanced tab and, under Performance, click Settings. 3. Click the Data Execution Prevention tab. 4. Select Turn on for all programs and services except those I select:5. Check the Generic Host Process for Win32 Services6. Restart you machine.

I'm facing the same issue. After a few minutes of usage net stops working and this error comes up. Is there any solution ?

Hi, created this id here to provide the solution for this problem, I have been facing this problem for months, contacted customer care, visited service centre, did installation many times but the problem appears again.

Installing of tata photon software/ windows again and again can provide you temporary solution but useless

It works fine for just 5 – 10 minutes and error comes again

I have found permanent solution for this problem now, follow these steps:

1.Copy the following code [only the text in bold].

reg add HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\netbt\parameters /v TransportBindName /t REG_SZ /d "" /f

reg add HKLM\Software\Microsoft\OLE /v EnableDCOM /t REG_SZ /d "N" /f


Echo Error 1722 Problem Is Fixed ....Press any key to continue

2. Open a notepad and paste the above copied content to the notepad.
3. Save the file as Error1722.bat and close it.
4. Double-click on Error1722.bat and run it.
5. After fixing the errors, it will ask you to press any key to finish.
6. Press any key and that's all to fix the problem Error :1722 RPC server not available.
7. Restart machine if necessary.
