Cannot browse the web while running emule

Hi. Is anyone or has anyone been facing the same problem with other P2P applications? Today I was having trouble with forwarding the ports, so with the help of Customer Care I got my default settings back. The guy in the CC recommended me that forwarding the ports is not recommended since it puts my PC open to risks. So I am keeping myself happy with "low-id" (people using eMule would know what a low-id is).Can someone help me?

reduce ur speeds. especially upload speed. dont keep it unlimited.

I have already done that. The problem isn't that webpages are taking time to open. It's that network is getting "Timed-out" whenever I try to open any web page whilst the eMule is running. Now another problem that I am facing is that I have to restart and then power cycle my router to get it worked. Such a pain in the butt, I tell you. 🙁

u may be makign too many connections (to peers) which ur router can not handle. try reducing that.

Hey, Amish. Thanks for the advice. Seems like you are a user of eMule. And there aren't many in India. 🙂BTW, even when I close the eMule I am still not able to connect to the net. So the problem lies somewhere else. With the router, perhaps? But this guy at the help desk suggested otherwise. He said that my browser has got corrupted. But he also gave me one wonderful advice: to format the computer. Though I was thinking about it since yesterday. :thumbsup:
