Hi guys,I have started a blog to rant on the existing level of broadband services available to us Indians. I know that there are several people maintaining blogs on such topics, but the unique thing about mine is that it is being read directly by people involved in regulating & monitoring such companies. I have posted links on the blog from where you can direct your complaints directly to TDSAT ( Telecom Disputes Settlement Appellate Tribunal ) under the ministry of Communication & Information Technology. Be assured that a mass appeal would cetainly produce results. 😀 Regards,Jai.

* being read directly by people involved in regulating & monitoring such companies. *how can you assure me about this 'unique' fact of your blog?

Dude, Trust me on this one. I really cannot tell you who I am and really cannot give you any information other than this that, this is the best source for all you people to file your grievances. The more people that complain, the better services we can get. And the reason why I keep this secrecy is that, its a government thing and I cannot fire a direct shot 🙂I hope u understand.

you are a sify broadband user and you are asking for other people to tell you their problems? sounds funny.you want me to trust you when you just look like yet another web designer/developer operating out of new delhi.it's ends up looking like a pathetic attempt to attract users. if you want people here to help you with your 'mission', give some credentials.

Thats all right my friend. But this is the only way I can help other victims of such companies. and I am not looking for any promotion. If you think I am tellling lies, you can think what u want to. But sending one email...wont kill u or make me a rich tycoonis it?So its up to you all people.. if you really want goo broadband, we have to raise a voice.

Ok, since you really wanna know........and really would like credentials, I have influential people sitting in TDSAT in high places. Now, I am not supposed to give their names and that Iwill not.

it's funny that thousands of posts here and on hundreds of other blogs spread across the internet are not enough material for you to provide to your 'influential people sitting in TDSAT in high places'?

This forum has enough material.
And then you can go visit:

http://broadbandblog.in

i think you already have enough matter to send to the people sitting in high places.

Ok Sushubh,Try to understand this. I was a sify user and really pissed off with them. Prior to this I was using MTNL broadband and they too got on my nerves. Now just as I was browsing the internet, I came across your forum and I found it really impressive and also saw that people REALLY dont get any REAL broadband. ( just promises and more promises.)Now your saying that I am promoting myself is not true. I have just made that form on my hosting ( my domain ) because thats the only place I could have. ( since its my server ).Guys, Please dont get offended. I am just trying to help and raise a voice . Thanks,Jai.

so we have bots posting their problems here? i dont see any use of duplication of material available on broadbandblog.in and this forum. anyways, ur post is on this forum. people if interested would contact you. just dont go around and post the same post in every darn section of this forum. we don't like duplicate posts here.

All right. You are DA BOSS.I will not.I just dont want to let the fire die out and if people take up this WOE that they want to get back at these companies, this is the way to go. All we people lack is committment to a cause. People get hurt and forget. I think its time to retain the pain that is caused when u spend hundreds of rupees on useless calls to customer service and paying unnecessary bills.Thanks,Jai.

The fire is in no danger of dying, as i see it.Like sushubh said, why not post your blog posts & links to complain to TDSAT here, on this forum.Promoting your blog is fine, but instead of waiting for ppl to visit your site & mail you, why dont u start with the complaints on this forum? Assuredly, its gonna be enough content for u to last entire months.

Whoever it be, the TDSAT or TRAI or any Body, they are not doing us any favour or give concessions or scholarships or donations or charity. The are in fact minting money from us in the name of providing these amenities. In fact, if they are really sensible and educated, they can work out a proper strategy and get the country on the threshold of IT BOOM and flood the exchequer with enough funds. We have a population of more than 100 Crore. Taking on an average of 5 persons per household, comes to about 20 Crore houses out of which only 4 crore has phone connections. of these 4 crore households we can estimate only 10 percent have capacity for broadband which works out to 40 lakh. Even if they charge Rs.100.00 per month for basic tariff scheme, they get about 480 crores. If they want to increase the earnings, they can increase the penetration of broadband by giving faster connections, say connections across the counter. thus they can try to cover about 1 crore connections soon and earn an annual target of Rs.1,000 Crores by charging merely Rs.100 per connection per month. (correct me if I am wrong, I am mathematically very brilliant ?)It will help the country, even if they undergo any losses. We do not have any servers and it is still foreign countries which host them, Imagine some years back when one had to pay Rs.15,000 per annum to just connect a Fax machine to the phone line or to PC modem. The authorities are always at permanent sleep mode and only if people like Sam Pitroda who has to wake them up every now and then. All requests, emails, blogs are mere futile waste of energy and has only dead ends.

very rightly said...and u're calculations are very realistic too!!!also, one thing i'd like to add up is that it won't be like all those 40 lac people will use the broadband to the fullest (unlimited) so there's no harm even if they provide unlimited internet at that cost (that'd be asking too much 😛)...ultimately they'll just earn, earn, and earn more...
