TATA sky help!!

Hello, i am from mumbai it is raining heavily in mumbai from 4pm, so i have virtually lost connection from Tata Sky, but occasionally when the rain stop i only receive few channels like discover, fox...any solution for this?please thanks.
 
I saw about the rains on NDTV. I guess there is no alternative than to pray that the skies clear. Calling CC won't help unfortunately, since there is very little they can do.

^ What did they tell? Apart from restarting the STB that is. It might be handy for people with similar problems.
 
Yeh I dont think there is any kinda solution when it rains.. it would be nice if you share

Please share with us, what help did CC provide you. It would be helpful to all members suffering from rain outage problem.

Sound surprising, but it's true I found that DD National was blank but Fox History, National Geographic etc were on the air with a lot of freezing. This has something to do with the different frequencies they transmit on. 😗
 
it was due misaligned of the dish, may be due to some work i had on my terrace. even light rain caused total distortion of the signal, they came and re alinged the dish. however the CC was very helful. one thing i have learned from them is how to correctly reset the STBThanks all.:yahoo::yahoo:
 
Yes, please share that information too. You can imagine that you are doing a charity worth 350 to about 10 K people - that's 35 lacs 😀
 
hey, had to call them and pay them as it was misalinged and i dont have equipment to re align the dish myself.how to reset the TS STB:First remove the digicard from the slot: it is okay when the stb is onremove the black adapter pin from the back and then reconnect it, as soon you connect it press four tab on the stb, all togetherthose four tabs are: guide,select,channel up, channel down.The Stb will automatically reset, then follow the intruction on your screen.it will tell you select the satellite INA4-14.. keep on saving.
 
Thanks for the info Sher! However, that is just resetting the STB right, I have done that, and it doesn't help a great deal. I was wondering you found out something about aligning the dish?
