Look, atleast on this issue, don't single out Tata Sky. We all know that all DTH have this problem, random or not. Everybody knows about this.

Yes, all DTH companies face this problem. Not only in India, even around the world.

Why cannot it be? The signals are uploaded via the same technology used to download the signals by our dish and receiver.
Partial ones can cause disruption. It is solar radiation which interferes with the electromagnetic waves that are transferring the signals, at times, when the intereference can be destructive, even with partial ones.

Hey, have not you seen the big dishes kept in the transmission offices??? I just saw this Chennai SD Office.. with BIG Dishes and satellite up linkers.

It is not the size of dish which matters.
Its whether you use Ku Band signals or C band signals, and on the frequency of the waves.
Tata Sky uses KU band signals, which are effected more by rain than C band signals.

Remember during IPL, during one of the matches when the IPL had just begun this yr, it was raining in the Stadium. The picture was cutting and it looked just like what happens when it rains in our city and our signals are disrupted.
I thought it was some problem with TS only but then you heard the commentators, they said, we're sorry for the signal disruption, due to cloud cover over the stadium we are having difficulties in broadcasting signals to you properly. The stadiums and HUGE dishes which broadcast signals to satellite, then why was the signal being disrupted?

Same thing happened in some other cricket match, in another country (I don't remember where) and they said the same thing.

May be as you said it is due to the fact KU band or C Band...matters here..I did not completely mean the big dishes will give stronger signals..But i did see your question has been answered here already..But it seems you have answered yourself for the doubts raised here...================================Originally Posted by pranay91 Why cannot it be? Uploads are done with much higher signal strengths than what is received by the mini dishes at the customer's end.

Please don't miss quote me, I only said "Why cannot it be? The signals are uploaded via the same technology used to download the signals by our dish and receiver. "

And a Civic and Alto are the same since they both run on the same fuel.

And Tata Sky signals are disturbed randomly because I do not have the aptitude to understand its causes.

:irock:not only the above but two-wheelers also run in fuel only:rofl:

So, in the end, the entire world is the same since they are all made up of atomic structures :hysterical:

Signal loss isn't related to rain. I have got signals in heavy rains, and got no signal at all under clear skies. It is random behaviour.

Well Its true in Tata Sky case as in recent past they have lost signal 2-3 times without any rains like in Semifinal T-20, they lost signal about 20 minutes and also few days back they lost signal to some Zee channels. And also in Rains they will loose signal So i think down time is high in Tata sky.

Agreed that you are DISH TV mktg guy, but don't spread so much wrong information about other services.
Even while doing advertising/endorsement, there are certain rules, but you are spreading complete wrong information.

First thing I don't have any relation with Dishtv apart from that i am having dishtv connection.

Second i haven't written any thing wrong here check the following link for the proof:

Yestrday there was no Zee Cinema for 30 min - Big TV, Tata Sky, Dish TV India, Airtel Digital TV, Sun DTH on SaveOnDish.com

And if you are a Tata Sky customer then you your self know what happen in semi final match when it was gone blank for about 20 min in IPL T-20.

I am also normal customer of TATASKY, but I don't promote TATASKY is every forum or Orkut.
But I have seen you promoting DISH TV and writing against TATASKY in every forum and also on Orkut through this account - orkut - saurabh's profile
So I got doubt, that you are related to DISH TV
