Dudes do know about CHENNAI BSNL best services. That is there no services for weekends and govt., holidays especially BB(broad band) connection.
If your BB connection failure Saturday, will work monday or next day only. So, how possible to ppls eagerly to get IPTv.
Response : I totally agree with your concern THey do not work on weekends and Holidays. Its not only with Chennai BSNL. Its the same over all over India. Unless there is a link failure IPTV would work fine and any other issues can be resolved by Tech Team from their end. If the link is down then its a BSNL Issue. MyWay Call Center is available even on holidays.
I'm ready to buy when first day saw in chennai trade center. but, my friend asking following questions to MYWAY, till date they cant answers.
Questions:
#1. BSNL avoid to give new BB connections nowdays and they preferred/suggested wireless connection. If you already have phone connection no problen to get BB connection?. So, i dont have connection and tried to get new connection, no possibilities to get IPTV?
I do not agree with that comment. BSNL is not giving BB Connection only in areas where they have feasibility issue. This is just 10% of areas. Rest any location you ask for a Phone+ BB it would be completed in a weeks time. 3 days from application, your phone would be activated and in another 3 days BB would be activated. I have observed this with my friends and relatives who applied for BSNL.
#2. BB connection is disconnected due to technical or physical, how MYway service take care?. They can raise an another ticket but they cant give exact time to resolve? True. Since its a ticket with BSNL i Myway will not give an ETA. However from my past experience the max time is 1 day. BSNL can't match with the 4 hr SLA of AIRTEL and other private operators. We will have to wait for long to get that.
#3. Relocation from one area to another area, again to beg both BSNL and MyWay. BSNL big sucker to resolve this issue, they connected within week but line works when you roaming again and again their office? Can't comment on the shifting process, as I have not tried this.
#4. If problem really in BSNL side/area who will take care, is it fully myway or customer itself to resolve?If the DSL LINK is down, we need to raise a complaint with BSNL.
#5. how reliable in south region compared north region? I am in Perungudi. I have no issues. My BB is very stable
#6. Without BB connection, customer enable BB connection especially and dont want network and need only IPTV. How they give? As of now its not possible.You need to have a BB Connection from BSNL
#7. SUN network not available and they may give with higher price. Same as others networks?Prices will be surely less than private players. Same like the BB Plans. BSNL BB Plans are always less compared with AIRTEL.
So, BSNL will fail once again their sucking works again to gain Airtel and other private IPTV.

I have experience with AIRTEL and BSNL. I have both connections. I totally agree that the service and complaint redressal of AIRTEL is very good.They have very tight SLA's for resolution. BSNL would take 1 day where as AIRTEL would resolve an issue in less than 4 hrs. But when you consider the rates and stupid polcies like FAIR USAGE Policy of AIRTEL --BSNL is better.
