Airtel Delhi 256 Unlimited Plan (649 rental plan)

Hi All,I am soon going to get a new airtel BB connection in North West Delhi with 256 Unlimited plan. Can anyone here using this plan advice me on following: -1. What is the maximum speed which i may expect under this plan?2. Is there any connectivity issue in this plan like frequent disconnection etc.?3. How responsive is its customer care?4. I will using internet through WIFI device. Is there any issue?5.Is fair usage policy applicable though not stated on Airtel website under this plan?6. What will be the range of WIFI device (i expect beetal)7. I am paying onetime non-refundable Rs. 1500/- for WIFI device. What if WIFI device gets problem? will it be replaced?8. How about billing accuracy?Thanks in advance for all your responses..

1. 256kbps (32kBps)2. No issues for me3. Pretty responsive for general support. 4. No5. NA6. Enough for a decent sized apartment and most 2-storey houses.7. Yes, as many times as required8. It's an unlimited plan so no question of overbilling

i was thinking of using this plan how does the voip sevices like skype and msn fare on that and is video conferencing possible in this plan....

Hi,At last i have got my airtel broadband connection yesterday. Speed is amazing. In 256kbps ul plan i am getting 350kbps download and 400kbps upload. I have got beetel 450 bxi wifi modem. I dont know why but despite of my request technician has not provided me with login id and password for modem. I tried admin : admin but denied. Is any one here have any idea about the login id and password?

Upload speeds being high, I can understand, but 350 kbps on a 256kbps? First time I am hearing this. Anyone else this fortunate?

am not this fortunate, but for the first 10-15 GB in a month i often get 40+kBps speeds(though only on http downloads, not torrents , torrents at 32 stable all month long)

For airtel i can say one thing as long as u are not a download freak they provide good speeds.... in my 2mbps connection i have always got speeds in the range of 2.5-2.2 mbps ... it is other story that i kept running out of my 4 gb cap and had to switch off and go offline for the last 7-10 days of the billing cycle .....

Seriously, we need more uncapped high speed plans in India. What we have today is simply poor. I am a heavy downloader, capping 50 GB monthly just in downloads on my 256 kbps, and the long wait time sometimes gets on the nerves. Speed wise I have no complaint on Airtel, I wish they would come up with some good unlimited plans. Their 16 Mbps plan is a joke with its 20 GB download limit. At full throttle, the entire limit will be exhausted in a little under 3 hours.

i did get thier 256 kbps unlimited plan a go it is good for surfing and i get about 100 kbps more than what i pay for skype video confrencing is good too but pages with photo contents take some time to open up... will try to get 384 kbps unlimited plan a go... or worse will get back to 2mbpa with 4 gb cap back on... this is me on the 256 kbps unlimited plan...https://www.speedtest.net

P.S. - be careful while playing arnd with ur router settings...change them only if u hv an idea of wot u're changing 🙂

All..I got airtel 64 kbps connection 2 years ago!I got dload speed of 100-200 kbps:O:OBut after some time around 2 months it came to 8-10!airtel offers good speed for some months because:1.Your broadband is running but not registered.2.Your plan is not confirmed3.You are lucky for both above facts:readtherules:But airtel's service has no comparison!
