exactly 1 GB= 1024 MB..100% ANYWHERE

..ANYWAYS..ANY ISP TAKING 1 GB= 1000 MB?? LET ME KNOW PLEASE

most hard disk manufacturer also consider 1 gb = 1000 megs. this is not a new thing. my first cable net guy considered 1 gb as 1000 megs.

yeah, i guess most of the people consider 1gb as 1000 mbs.

well let us start from begining8 bit = 1 byte1024 byte = 1 Kilo byte1024 Kilo byte = 1 Mega byte1024 Mega byte = 1 Giga byte1024 Giga byte = 1 Tera byte................After this I don't know /.......and if I am wrong please notify me B) as for the ISP issue .....big guys (BSNL,TATA,AIRTEL,SIFY etc,,,,,knows the above equations.....but not those cable guys and local ISPs .....they belive that memory module follows metric system 1000=1 🤔 )

It is quite true that Kalyan telecom is the biggerst circle and they do Bill 1 gb as 1000 mb. This anomaly can be set right in telephone adalat or writing to all concerned deptt. heads and IT minister. There is lots of backlogs for Broadband connection waiting and they are moving in snailpace. Once the customers increase, they will start feeling such heat and setright things. Till then, satisfying with whatever we get is the best medicine, rather than suffering at the hands of Fortunenet or sify with lots of pains, BSNL service is far more better and sustainable. Waiting with anguish for lower rates and higher data limits, one of your local friend.
