Does anyone know of a site where we can track stock prices in real time, something like quote.com and the trading terminal softwares that broking houses distribute...

Kotak has an KEAT but it works only on a PC, I think there is scope for a browser based site.

Is there anyway to get real time quotes on our cell phone (probably using GPRS)?I know about the service providers like i use orange (hutch) & they give alerts in the form of sms every few hrs. But this is not the requirement. I require the way its there on TV or NSE / BSE web site in the form of a strip.Is there any cell phone web site which gives real time quotes?

I beleive you are looking for live streaming rates as you see in the Trading TErminals in Brokerage houses, rather than having to hit refresh to see the changes in the rates. Most of the brokerage houses now have Online Trading for Clients and they have web version which provides streaming rates also. Yes, thats true. I have tested a couple of them and they are good enough. The speeds were almost equal to the Direct Terminals. The difference could be in just milli-seconds.

I was given to understand that the BSE and NSE quotes are, on purpose, delayed by a few minutes.. Is this correct or is anyone allowed to read the quotes truly "realtime?" I mean almost as soon as any trade occurs?
