Just a few seconds back I got a telemarketing call on my landline phone. I politely explained to the lady that I wasn't interested in such offers. She told me that I should register on do not call so that I don't get such calls. I said its only for mobiles but she insisted that its possible for landlines too? is it true? do i call 1909 from the landline?
 
@ Manu.....try calling once! Simple as that. Its as it is toll-free.@ Mascot....I have mailed to some Grievance redressal of Idea. Lets see if i get any response. Or is there any other email address that u know, or i need to do some research on Google?
 
ok, it works. its called "Call Withdrawal Service". You have to dial 1909 from your landline and then press 0 for fully blocked. nice!

No No. leave it. Don't bother so much. Grievance team will sort it out. All Operators are bit serious this time. Haven't you gone through that article in which Vodafone fined some telemarketers . I wish that telemarketer would be Dr. Batra

I didnt went thru any article on this, so i wasnt aware. Good that the operators are serious. So i m waiting for atleast 2-3 days now.
 

Thanks for the link! So i can hope that Idea too wud act on the mail that i have sent to them.And on my making it to milestone.....well 19 more after this. What shud i post about? 😛 Theres less activity in the threads that i have subscribed. Lets see whats new now!
 
U cant do anything about that! Unless the rules undergo changes. But if its loosened, it will give further loopholes to the telemarketers to xploit!
 
Yeah i can't even send a sms 🙁

Every time i try to send sms i am getting this stupid sms.. 🙁 and Failed Delivery.. 🙁

Okie. Me too needs to try one day sending 100 sms and check out the error msg. 🙂
